Richmond Grows Community Seed Garden

Come check out the community seed garden at the public library located near the children's and community library rooms. Our garden is an educational garden demonstrating seed saving techniques with a focus on plants that home gardeners can easily do such as peas, beans, tomatoes and lettuce. There are educational signs explaining how to do seed saving as well as explaining how those techniques and strategies are being applied to the current plantings.

Our hope is that community gardens as well as school gardens will integrate seed saving. Below are some of the signs that we use in our garden. Feel free to download them and use them in your own community space to educate others. These seed saving tips will apply to most bioregions.  (We have these files available. Unfortunately, we are having difficulty uploading files. If you would like copies of these files email us at RichmondGrows@gmail.com.)
